Domestic violence chat with experts Monday on NewsOK

Domestic violence experts from across Oklahoma will answer questions Monday during a Google+ Hangout on

The Oklahoman's reporters Juliana Keeping and Jaclyn Cosgrove will chat with domestic violence experts from law enforcement, the legal system and the victim advocate community.

The chat will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday on's domestic violence project page at

Readers are encouraged to ask questions during the chat. Experts will discuss how to find resources, what to do if you know a victim and what issues Oklahoma faces in the realm of domestic violence.

Domestic violence is a chronic problem and is at epidemic proportions in Oklahoma, said Janet Peery, the CEO of the YWCA Oklahoma City.
