Don't bank on this man's stories Published: June 6, 2013

LAWTON -- The $100 bill was OK. Even the $2. But the bank drew the line when the man plopped down the $1 million.

Obviously, there was a problem.

The Lawton Constitution reports that the man told bank personnel he wanted to open an account. What he told them after that was a series of misinformation.

He claimed to be the son of NFL great Emmitt Smith. He said he owned the Oakland A's. And he insisted the money was good.

Wrong on all counts.
