When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected former Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy with the No. 3 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, McCoy did something no player had done -- he hugged NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Goodell, inspired by McCoy, has become a proactive hugger since that greeting from McCoy. Goodell now includes hug-related instructions in his predraft briefing. The most important one? Try not to break the commish's ribs.
