Just like many college football players, Douglass running back Chris High has already reported to camp.

But there are no shoulder pads at this camp. No diagrams of the triple-option. And no footballs to toss around.

High is at boot camp for the Naval Academy, where he signed to be a running back. But first comes a year of the Academy's prep school after boot camp.

High was apprehensive at first when the offer from Navy came in, but Douglass coach Willis Alexander worked to ease his concerns.

“I found some people from Oklahoma who had served in the Naval Academy, and connected Chris with them, and I think that helped him become more comfortable,” Alexander said. “He's excited about it now. Chris wants great things for himself. He understands that the Naval Academy can take him places he's never dreamed of.”
