Douglass High School principal resigns; investigation to be turned over to Oklahoma County district attorney

Oklahoma City Public Schools officials said an investigation into of grade-fixing is complete and the results have been turned over to state and federal education officials and the Oklahoma County district attorney’s office.

The principal accused of fixing grades and hiding absences at Douglass Mid-High School resigned Wednesday.

Brian Staples was suspended with pay two weeks ago. His resignation will go into effect Nov. 15, a date agreed upon by Staples and district officials.
