Oklahoma State recruiting notebook: Douglass' Stephen and Deondre Clark visit for homecoming

Deondre is a 6-foot-3, 240-pound junior defensive end who has received a scholarship offer from Mike Gundy's football staff. Deondre had 10 tackles, four sacks and five quarterback hurries Thursday night in a 41-17 win over McLoud.

While Deondre is in no hurry to make a decision between the dozen scholarship offers he currently has, Stephen hopes to end his recruiting in the next few weeks.

In addition to Saturday's football game, Stephen attended Friday's “Homecoming and Hoops” event at Gallagher-Iba Arena, spending time with the team.

The Oklahoman's Super 5 Player of the Year last season, Stephen Clark has made visits to UCLA, Baylor and OSU in the last three weeks, and could make a trip to Florida State as well. He plans to commit in the coming weeks and sign next month during the early signing period.

Cowboys eyeing top junior QBs

The debate as to who is the best junior quarterback in the Oklahoma City area is a tough call, but that player was at Boone Pickens Stadium Saturday.

Edmond Santa Fe's Justice Hansen and Jones' David Cornwell were both in attendance for the Cowboys' victory, one day after each led his team to a crucial district victory Friday night.

Hansen, 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, has thrown for 1,937 yards with 23 touchdowns and five interceptions, while rushing for more than 500 yards and 11 TDs. He currently has scholarship offers from Arkansas and Missouri, and is receiving interest from Oklahoma, where he was scheduled to attend Saturday night.
