Brian Phillips of Grantland.com has written a fascinating feature story about Phil McGraw (TV's Dr. Phil), who played middle linebacker for the University of Tulsa for one season, in 1968.

Turns out that was the year that the Golden Hurricane lost to the University of Houston by an incredible 94 points, and Dr. Phil was on the field.

Says Phil, "...at halftime I was lookin' out the ear hole of my helmet, so I don't know where I was playin'."
