— A Grove man was intoxicated when the vehicle he was driving ran off the road near Blue Bluff and plunged 80 feet down a steep embankment into Grand Lake in an accident that killed him and two others, according to autopsy results released Friday.

Kyley A. Collins, 22, had a blood alcohol level of 0.13, the state medical examiner's office said. He died of blunt force trauma and drowning, the autopsy report stated. The legal limit in Oklahoma is 0.08.

Jake R. Olsen, 23, of Grove, and Michael John McKinney, 24, of Brookings, Ore., also were killed in the Nov. 21 accident. They had the same cause of death.

Olsen's blood alcohol level was 0.17 and McKinney's was 0.10.

All three men's bodies were recovered from inside the vehicle in about 50 feet of water.

Officials said at the time of the accident Collins failed to navigate a curve on S630 Road about 3.7 miles north of Grove. The vehicle plummeted down the rocky bluff, struck a tree, overturned and plunged into the lake. has disabled the comments for this article.
