Driver illegally backing car dies after being struck by truck, Oklahoma City police said
A man illegally backing up a car on S Meridian Avenue died Monday after the car was struck by a box truck, Oklahoma City police said.

A man driving a car illegally in reverse Monday was struck by a box truck and killed, Oklahoma City police said. The man, whose name has not been released, works at Enterprise rental cars, 3200 S Meridian Ave. He was backing a car south in the northbound lanes of S Meridian Avenue, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said. The man had pulled the car into an entrance where the gate was closed and he was trying to back up to another entrance to the lot. The driver was taken to a hospital where he died, Nelson said.
