Rain is expected Wednesday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

There is a 90 percent chance for rain Wednesday night.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Areas of drizzle before noon then showers likely after noon. Cloudy with a high near 54. North, northwest wind 7 to 17 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Wednesday night: Showers. Low around 43. Northeast wind 15 to 17 mph becoming southeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers mainly before noon. Cloudy with a high near 54. Southeast wind 11 to 16 mph becoming south, southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 41. South wind 11 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 65. South, southwest wind 16 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 40.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 44.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 23.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 36.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 24.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 39.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 20.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 40.
