Dual State Wrestling: Edmond North wins first state wrestling title
Led by the Dixon triplets, the Huskies won the Class 6A Dual Wrestling Championship Saturday at Claremore High School, downing Muskogee, 43-25, in the championship final.

Nolan Malloy then won a 1-0 decision at heavyweight, and Jordan Prince scored a major decision as Edmond North won six straight matches to take an insurmountable lead.
“The guys have worked so hard and put so much time in,” Edmond North coach Andy Schneider said. “To see them get rewarded like this, it's all on them and their hard work.”
Edmond North defeated Sapulpa, 39-22, in the quarterfinals and Tulsa Union, 38-18, in the semifinals.
“Give Edmond North credit. They outwrestled us,” Muskogee coach Bobby Jefferson said.
Lance Dixon said there is still more hardware to be won by the Huskies. The regional wrestling tournament is next week, and then the state wrestling tournament is the following weekend.
“I am not satisfied with just this one,” he said. “I will be satisfied with a regional title and another state title, that's when I will be satisfied.”
