DUNCAN (AP) — Authorities in Duncan say a woman pretended to be a Walmart employee and tricked a cashier into loading $3,000 onto prepaid debit cards.
The Duncan Banner reports that a woman who was dressed like a Walmart employee walked into a Walmart earlier this month and approached a cashier who was on duty.
Police say the woman told the cashier that she worked for Walmart and that she was training employees on how to load cash onto prepaid debit cards. Police say the cashier loaded $1,000 onto three separate cards and gave them to the woman, who left the store.
Police say the woman was not a Walmart employee.
