Not everything was odd, however. Texas quarterback Colt McCoy took home the Heisman, hardly unexpected after he finished runner-up in last year's real Heisman race.

The Longhorns were the Big 12 champions, defeating Nebraska 31-20 in the conference title game, and went on to rout Georgia Tech in the Fiesta Bowl, 38-7.

Several state players are at the top of their respective positions, ratings-wise. Bradford is tied for the top quarterback rating at 99 with Florida's Tim Tebow. Bryant, with a 97 overall rating, is tied as the top receiver with Illinois' Arrelious Benn.

OU's Jermaine Gresham is the top tight end on the game with a 99 overall rating, and Gerald McCoy is the top defensive tackle.

Tebow, who finished behind Colt McCoy in the simulated Heisman race, led his Florida Gators to what would be their third BCS National Championship in the last four years with a convincing 31-14 victory over Penn State.
