With the kickoff of the college football season only five weeks away, it's not too early to start looking at some of the early season matchups. Here are some telecasts the first three weeks:

Aug. 28 — Vanderbilt at Miami (Ohio), 6:30 p.m., ESPNU; Wake Forest at Baylor, 7 p.m., FSNSW; N.C. State at South Carolina, 7 p.m., ESPN; Oregon State at Stanford, 8 p.m., ESPN2.

Aug. 29 — Temple at Army, 6 p.m., ESPN Classic; SMU at Rice, 7 p.m., ESPN.

Aug. 30 — Virginia Tech vs. East Carolina (Charlotte, N.C.), 11 a.m., ESPN; Syracuse at Northwestern, 11 a.m., ESPN2; Oklahoma St. vs. Washington St. (Seattle), 2:30 p.m., FSNSW; Utah at Michigan, 2:30 p.m., ABC; USC at Virginia, 2:30 p.m., ABC or ESPN2; Delaware at Maryland, 2:45 p.m., ESPNU; Appalachian State at LSU, 4 p.m., ESPN; Mississippi State at Louisiana Tech, 5:45 p.m., ESPN2; Boston College vs. Kent St. (Cleveland), 6:30 p.m., ESPNU; Alabama vs. Clemson (Atlanta) or Michigan St. at Cal, 7 p.m., ABC; Missouri vs. Illinois (St. Louis), 7:30 p.m., ESPN; Washington at Oregon, 9 p.m., FSNSW.

Aug. 31 — Kentucky at Louisville, 2:30 p.m., ESPN.; Colorado vs. Colorado St. (Denver), 6:30 p.m., FSNSW.
