The committee organizing the second annual Tulsa Craft Beer Week late last week announced plans for next year’s event, and the big news is that the week will actually span 10 days. (Of course they announced the dates when I was on a camping trip with limited Internet service — so pardon the lateness of this post).
TCBW 2014 has been set for April 10-19. Here’s a press release from organizers:
TULSA — Event organizers are proud to announce that planning for the second annual Tulsa Craft Beer Week (April 10-19, 2014) is underway!
Tulsa Craft Beer Week began as a simple dream and a conversation between people in the craft beer industry. Several cities and states nationwide host “Craft Beer Weeks” every year to focus the spotlight on the growing craft beer community.
So with the goal of highlighting craft beers produced or distributed in Tulsa, planning began and local breweries, retail stores, bars, and restaurants created and hosted their own events all over the city promoting craft beer. Held from April 15-20, 2013, the calendar of events for the first year spanned Monday through Saturday, and featured beer dinners, pint nights, tap takeovers, outdoor festivals, pub crawls, beer tastings, food pairings,
and craft beer features in establishments all over the city.
The people of Tulsa took notice, and responded in record numbers to their favorite craft beer establishments to support the movement.
Tulsa Craft Beer Week 2014 will add several days to the calendar, in an effort to feature more events and allow anyone who loves craft beer a chance to participate. Anyone interested in hosting their own event
should contact Tulsa Craft Beer Week organizers (TulsaCraftBeerWeek@gmail.com) for more information.
More information will be released as it becomes available via Tulsa Craft Beer Week’s social media pages.
