A 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook the ground Friday in southern Oklahoma.

The quake hit about 10:25 p.m. and struck roughly eight miles northwest of Tishomingo, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

Additional information was unavailable due to a lapse in federal funding that caused the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program to suspend most of its operation, according to the USGS website.
