Easter activities planned for metro children in Oklahoma City

Free and low-cost Easter activities are planned for families throughout the Oklahoma City metro area.

Easter activities for children are planned throughout the metro this week. Here are a few of the free and low-cost events.

Choctaw

Choctaw Creek Park: The city's annual egg hunt will follow the Oldtimers Parade, which begins downtown at 10 a.m. Saturday and ends at the park, 20001 N Harper. The hunt coincides with the eighth annual Choctaw Land Run Festival, which is Thursday through Saturday. Call 390-8276.

Edmond

Edmond Church of Christ: The free Easter Eggstravaganza will have an egg hunt and carnival at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, 801 S Bryant. Call 341-3353.

Midwest City

Rose State College: The Midwest City Junior Service League's annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny includes games, crafts and doughnuts. Activities are from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the student center, 6420 SE 15. Admission is $2 per child. Call 733-7311.

Norman

Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History: Crafts, games and science activities will be Wednesday at the museum, 2401 Chautauqua Ave. Admission is free. Activities are from 4 to 7 p.m., and an egg hunt will be at 6:30. Call 325-4712.
