CHOCTAW — The students and staff at Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and members of the surrounding community are encouraged to see how the center and its services can benefit participants’ lives.
There will be no admission charge and the event is open to all who wish to attend. Big Truck Tacos and Roxy’s Ice Cream Social will offer food and there will be inflatables.
Each of the 16 classroom programs will be doing a special activity that relates to their day-to-day curriculum. For each classroom that guests visit, they will have a chance to win a Kindle Fire. Some of the demonstrations and activities for each classroom include a free family photo from digital media, 3-Dimensional Printing in the STEM program, plasma cutting in welding, and an engine teardown and build by the national record-holding automotive technology program.
Staff and students will also be on site all day to answer questions.
