CHOCTAW — The Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center will host one of its largest career fair events in recent history next week, school spokesman Jason Adams said.
From 2 to 7 p.m. April 17, the school will host the job fair at 4601 N Choctaw Road. The career fair is open to members of the community as well as students.
With some of the community’s most influential companies in attendance, the school is preparing for a packed house, Adams said.
Among the employers from the surrounding community that have signed up to participate are Coca-Cola Co., Lowes, Dell, UPS and Walmart.
One of the prerequisites for a company to participate in the fair is that it must currently be hiring. This allows career seekers to be assured their resumes will be looked over by all employers, Adams said.
Participants are advised to bring multiple copies of their resumes, dress to impress and prepare for possible on-the-spot interviews.
