Easy drive to either corner of state

Oklahoman Published: August 4, 2014

Regarding “What's your bucket list of things to do in Oklahoma?” (News, July 26): State Highway 3 stretches from Tom in the southeast corner of Oklahoma to near Kenton in the northwest corner of the Panhandle. My friends and I did the first half, staying at Beavers Bend Park a couple of years ago. We completed our trip this year, staying at the Hitching Post Bed and Breakfast in Kenton. We had no idea how interesting the Kenton area was until we got there, took a guided tour and explored the neighboring areas ourselves. Starting from Oklahoma City, it’s an easy drive to either corner of the state.
