OSU celebrated the career of Eddie Sutton on Monday night, with the former player and coach back in Gallagher-Iba Arena among fans, former players and family.

The salute featured video highlights, including the press conference where Henry Iba announced Sutton as head coach, and video tributes from the likes of former assistants Leonard Hamilton, James Dickey and Brooks Thompson, along with former player Desmond Mason.

Mason also contributed a painting of Sutton.

Eddie's sons Scott and Steve Sutton and their families, including six of his nine grandchildren were on hand. Former players Bryant Reeves, Joe Adkins, Jamaal Brown, Byron Eaton, Ivan McFarlin, Brian Montanati, Bryndon Manzer, Obi Muonelo, Chianti Roberts, Alex Webber, Jeff Johnson and Brett Robisch were all in attendance.

Eddie eventually took the microphone and thanked everyone.

“We would not have won as many games in this arena if it hadn't been for our great fans,” he said.
