DALLAS — There is definitely no shortage of boutiques and restaurants on Lovers Lane. If you travel up and down the street you will find unlimited choices. One location worth stopping for on that busy stretch of road is Eden Restaurant and Pastries, 4416 West Lovers Lane.
Karen Kahn is not only the chef of Eden, she is the owner. Like many chefs, she wanted her own restaurant and preferred it to be on Lovers Lane. She has been cooking for 35 years and worked in several fine hotels until she opened Eden five years ago. The building is spacious, with several rooms for seating. As you come in, the place keeps rolling out in front of you, Kahn said. There are two dining areas, a large room for buffets and a large screened-in patio. This restaurant is equipped for parties, showers and large get-togethers. Eden has an eclectic style both inside and outside the building. The exterior of the building has a small organic garden of herbs and vegetables. The inside is decorated with pottery made by the chef's mother, prints of famous artistic works, hand painted chairs and more. The menu has a variety of foods, from a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich to roasted hen with plum sauce and rice. Everything is made when ordered and only the freshest ingredients are used.
