PARIS (AP) — Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani limped off clutching the back of his right thigh during Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 home win against Bordeaux on Friday night.
Cavani pulled up in the 75th minute and signaled to the bench before coach Laurent Blanc replaced him with Argentina winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Cavani, who has scored 20 goals in all competitions for PSG this season, now looks doubtful to play in the League Cup semifinal against Nantes on Tuesday and against title rival Monaco next weekend.
"He felt a bit of pain behind his thigh, it's a bit of a problem when a player asks to come off because it means he knows he can't go on," PSG coach Laurent Blanc said after the game. "We'll know a bit more about it tomorrow."
