Church plans health screenings

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has scheduled a health fair in April that will feature free health screenings, health seminars and a 5K run.

The For the Health of It fair opens on April 13 at the church at 13812 Scott Street. Participants can get a blood pressure screening, a consultation with a physician and a dental check. There will be seminars on nutrition, health wellness and stopping drug addiction.

On April 14, the church will sponsor a running event at Stars and Stripes Park in Oklahoma City, which will include a 5k as well as a one-mile fun run and a mile run for children.

Registration for the running events is $25 for adults and $20 for children. Food and drinks will be provided.
