The Forths want to change the zoning at 1472 N Kelly Ave. from E-LU general commercial to a limited use planned unit development district. They also want to amend the city’s zoning plan to allow for the change.

The planning commission meets at 5:30 p.m. at 20 S Little Ave.

Randel Shadid, the property owners’ attorney, said the sole purpose for the zoning change is to allow for low-speed vehicle and all-terrain vehicle sales. They are asking that one vehicle be allowed to be parked outside the store during business hours.

The building is used for retail sales and an indoor shooting range.

In other business, the planning commission will consider a site plan for Switzer’s Locker Room storage along Interstate 35.

The site is 5.11 acres on the east side of Interstate 35 approximately ¾ miles north of Second Street at the end of Saints Boulevard.

Plans include a 1,650-square-foot office and seven parking spaces. The buildings are 12 feet tall.

Edmond residents have voiced opposition to the storage units along Interstate 35.
