Edmond barbershop exhibit is a cut above the rest

EDMOND — Barbers once could give a customer more than a shave and a haircut. Long ago they performed surgery and dentistry.

And barbers were among some of the early pioneers who came to Oklahoma to make a living.

Now the Edmond Historical Society & Museum is presenting the exhibit "A Cut and a Shave: The History of the Barbershop.”
