/> Voters in Edmond approved a $35.4 million bond proposition to build new classrooms, as well as a second proposition of $800,000 for new buses. Both of the proposals were approved with almost 68 percent of the vote.

Goin said he expects much of the construction to begin this fall.

Goin said the bond proposition’s approval marks the 50th straight time that Edmond voters have approved a bond proposal for the district.

"The times we live in are very uncertain but the community has affirmed its support,” Goin said. "We’re thankful for that.”

We’re just thrilled to death ... and appreciative of our patrons for passing this in such an overwhelming fashion.”
