EDMOND — City council members approved this week specific use permits so two Edmond churches can have services on Wimbledon Drive.
United Charismatic Healing Church, 301 Wimbledon Drive, and
Bethesda Baptist Church, 305 Wimbledon Drive, are in a building that is divided into two sections, said developer
Pete Reeser, the owner of the property.
This is the second set of churches to be located in the building.
Councilman David Miller included in his motion that the staff make a report about the parking situation and occupancy numbers in a year.
"We are not going to turn them down,” Miller said. "We just want to make sure they are safe.”
In other business, council members approved closing a 7-foot wide portion of a utility easement at 4113 Copper Rock Drive.
Ben and
Amy Aldridge made the request to build a swimming pool in their home’s backyard in Oak Tree Park First Addition.
