The burglaries were reported at Brandon’s Bait and Tackle, 253 S Coltrane Road, and Legacy Cleaners and Laundry, 805 W Covell Road. The burglaries may have occurred Friday night or early Saturday.

At the cleaners, an undisclosed amount of money was taken after the intruder broke out a glass door, the report stated.

No clothes were noticed missing, but four items of clothing were thrown on the ground from the racks.

At the bait and tackle shop, the cash register and an undisclosed amount of money were stolen.

A south door had been pried open to gain entry to the building, the report shows.

Tapes from the video surveillance camera are expected to be turned over to police.

Police seek chicken thieves
Police are continuing their investigation into the theft of 15 chickens from a northwest Edmond home.

The chickens, valued at $150, were reported missing Wednesday from a home in the 2600 block of 2600 Bobwhite Trail, police reported Monday.

An officer could not find any evidence that wild animals had gotten the chickens and the fence was closed, the report states.
