Edmond elementary school chess players place in national Top 10
EDMOND — Ida Freeman Elementary School chess players — 31 in all — have returned from national competition with another Top 10 title.
The fourth- and fifth-grade students returned Tuesday morning from their trip to the National Elementary Chess Championship in Pittsburgh , Pa. The group tied for seventh place at the competition over the weekend.
