With continuing support from the Rotary Club of Edmond, Ida Freeman Elementary School’s nationally ranked chess team prepared for a national competition.

Edmond Rotary, a long-time partner and supporter of Ida Freeman Elementary, recently took chess lessons from and competed with the students.

Edmond Rotary Club and its members donated several thousand dollars over the past several years to offset the travel cost for the team, which was scheduled to compete Saturday in the national competition in Dallas.
