Hampden Hollow

Preliminary and final plats of the Hampden Hollow III housing addition, northeast of Air Depot Boulevard and Covell Road, was recommended for approval this week by city planning commissioners.

City council members will make a final decision on the plats on Monday. The plats must go to the city council because the development proposes private streets.

This is the final phase of the project by developer J.W. Armstrong. The newest phase has 74 lots on 29.7 acres. The lots will range from 7,200 square feet to 8,000 square feet.

Store coming

Daisy Exchange, a store where trendy clothing is exchanged at a thrifty price, has plans to come to Edmond. There are stores in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Moore and Fayetteville, Ark.

The Edmond store would be on the north side of Second Street and east of Freddy's Frozen Custard.

Planning commissioners approved this week the site plan and the preliminary plat for an 8,117-square-foot building to be constructed on 1.63 acres.

The Mayor's Essay Contest winners will be announced at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, just before the North Pole Holiday Adventure at the Multipurpose Activity Center in J.L. Mitch Park.
