There are many ways to invest in Edmond youth, including a Tuesday benefit for the FFA.

The group's largest benefit of the year, a chili supper and auction, starts at 5:30 p.m. at Santa Fe High School.

This year's chairman is Valerie Camp. She said the auction will be for the FFA parent group while the chili supper helps agriculture teachers of the district.

Camp expects about 200 people to attend. Should you come for just the supper, there is no ticket required.

“We're accepting donations for the meal,” she said.

The fundraising goal this year is $15,000. Those are funds the 175 students of the program from the three high schools need to continue the work they do throughout the year.

“A lot of that is for traveling,” Camp said. “For example, if some of the students qualify for the Indy nationals, we want to be able to send them there.”

Other funds go for programs such as the Halloween dance as well as scholarships.
