— The thrill of football came to downtown Edmond twice this week with homecoming parades for Santa Fe and North high schools.

Queen hopefuls, finely tuned musicians and ready-to-play athletes displaying their school colors made their way through downtown as merchants, shoppers, children and proud parents watched.

Homecoming excitement will return to downtown Thursday with Edmond Memorial High School's parade. The parade is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The final downtown homecoming parade will be on Nov. 3 for the University of Central Oklahoma.
