Celebration to open kids' area
EDMOND — The Edmond Historical Society and Museum, 431 S Boulevard, is celebrating its 25th anniversary beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The museum also will be reopening its renovated children's area.

Alzheimer's group plans class
EDMOND — The Oklahoma Regional Alzheimer's Association is having an Alzheimer's education class at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Edmond Public Library, 10 S Boulevard.

Patients and caregivers will learn what behaviors to expect, vocabulary to use, available resources and much more.

Call the library at 341-9282 to pre-register for this free program.

Free wildlife expo set at Lazy E Arena
GUTHRIE —Oklahoma Wildlife Expo 2008 is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the Lazy E Arena, 9600 Lazy E Drive, in Guthrie.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation claims it is the state's largest indoor and outdoor recreation event, having attracted more than 35,000 people during past shows.

People can fish, shoot, kayak, mountain bike, see and touch wildlife, and learn about recreation in the great outdoors, according to the event's Web site.

The state Department of Wildlife Conservation along with a coalition of conservation organizations, agencies and sponsors puts on the annual event.

Sign up for hunter education
GUTHRIE — The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Department will host a Hunter Education Home Study Course from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Lazy E Arena, 9600 Lazy E Drive.

The class is free and open to everyone, but pre-registration is required. Call 521-4636.
