Edmond Jazz Lab to feature flutist in series

EDMOND — University of Central Oklahoma’s School of Music presents flutist Emily Butterfield at 7:30 p.m. today at the UCO Jazz Lab, 100 E Fifth St., as part of the Faculty Artist Concert Series.
Butterfield is an assistant professor of applied flute, flute choir, chamber music and woodwind methods.
Faculty members
David Forbat,
Samuel Magrill and
Ralph Morris will perform Martinu’s "First Sonata,” the sonata "Undine” by Reinecke, "Odyssey Etude” by Magrill and a trio for flute, viola and piano by Maurice Durufle.
"The UCO Faculty Artist Series is a wonderful event because it allows UCO students and the city of Edmond an opportunity to hear wonderful music as well as the chance to personally meet and talk with the individuals who were just up on the stage performing,” Butterfield said.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.
