Edmond man faces firearm, drug charges

EDMOND — A 20-year-old man was arrested on complaints of kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and cultivating marijuana.
Jamie Martin Munoz, of Edmond, was in Oklahoma County jail Monday morning on $170,000 bail. Munoz is accused of holding a shotgun on his girlfriend, their baby and a co-worker of the girlfriend in an apartment at 600 N Blackwelder. According to a police report, the altercation began when the girlfriend tried to break up and get Munoz to leave the apartment they shared. Munoz is accused of holding a shotgun on them for about 90 minutes, the report states. Police said Munoz threatened to kill the girlfriend if she ended the relationship. While Munoz talking to the girlfriend, the co-worker managed to text someone to call police and get possession of the shotgun, the report states. When police arrived, officers found the furniture and light fixtures had been broken and there were holes in the walls. Officers also found nine marijuana plants, the report states.
