A judge sentenced an Edmond man Monday to 139 years in prison for rape and related crimes, saying he will have plenty of time to reflect on “what you did.”

Jeremy Michael Scrivener, 22, was convicted June 21 of rape, three counts of rape by instrumentation, forcible anal sodomy, two counts of forcible oral sodomy and burglary.

Oklahoma County District Judge Ray C. Elliott ordered the sentences for each crime — including 25 years for first-degree rape and 57 years for two counts of first-degree rape by instrumentation — to be served consecutively.

“What you did, Mr. Scrivener, was despicable,” Elliott said. “You will have a long, long, long time to think about what you did.”

Prosecutors alleged Scrivener choked and sexually assaulted a 29-year-old woman after entering her Edmond residence without permission about 2 a.m. Feb. 20, 2011.

Investigators matched Scrivener's DNA to samples taken from the victim, who lived in the same trailer park as Scrivener.

The woman testified at Scrivener's trial that she didn't know her attacker, and that she was able to get a good look at him when she turned on a closet light during the assault.
