High school notebook: Edmond Memorial's Jordan Woodard eyes playoff return

The Oklahoma signee has missed multiple games on two occasions this season because of the injury, and is undergoing therapy to make sure the hamstring is fully healed before he returns to action.

Second-ranked Edmond Memorial, which has reached the state championship game in Class 6A each of the last two years, is 11-2 on the season, coming off a 52-46 loss at No. 1 Midwest City Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs (11-2) will conclude the regular season at Southmoore on Feb. 15.

GRAVES SETS TONE FOR EDMOND SANTA FE

Cameerah Graves' contributions to Edmond Santa Fe go far deeper than her scoring production.

Last year's clear leader on the Wolves was Courtney Walker, who is now starting for No. 16 Texas A&M. This year, that role falls on Graves.

“I think Cameerah learned from Courtney, especially, in how to finish,” Santa Fe coach Paul Bass said. “That what Courtney did so well, she never let the pressure get to her and you see those same things this year with how Cameerah's handling things.”

Graves helped lead No. 1 Santa Fe to a win over Putnam City on Tuesday night. The Pirates beat Santa Fe earlier in the year.

“I've started making better decisions this year more than anything,” Graves said. “That's just come with growing up.
