FREE NFL-SPONSORED CAMPS SET FOR JUNE

The NFL's High School Player Development camps will again come to Oklahoma this summer.

The free camp, sponsored by the National Guard, will be held in Oklahoma City and Tulsa on June 17-19, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each day.

Each camp is open to 300 players and will include a free padded position camp and team 7-on-7 tournament.

The Oklahoma City camp will be held at Casady, while the Tulsa site has yet to be announced. Every player attending will receive a Nike jersey and day planner, as well as lunch each day.

The winner of the 7-on-7 tournament will advance to the regional tournament to be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Coaches are also needed for paid coaching positions at the camps.

Coaches or players can contact OKC camp director John Jensen at (405) 255-5258 or the Oklahoma National Guard marketing director SSG Karen Sandlin at (405) 228-5206.

OKC SEEKING TWO NEW COACHES

Oklahoma City Public Schools athletic director Keith Sinor is in search of two new football coaches to fill vacancies at John Marshall and Southeast.

Bruce Troxell stepped down at John Marshall shortly after the season, and Michael Branch resigned from Southeast, stepping away from high school education entirely.

Sinor said the school district is actively working on both coaching searches.
