Edmond North sophomore Colter Baca shot a 1-under par last weekend in the Oklahoma Golf Association Oklahoma Open Amateur Qualifying to seal one of 15 amateur spots in this weekend’s Oklahoma Open at Oak Tree National in Edmond.

Baca, who is only 15 years old, is part of a very small group of Oklahoma high school players in the tournament, which begins Friday.

His 1-under par at Lincoln Park Golf Club was good enough for a tie for sixth place. Weatherford’s Quade Cummins and former SMU standout Draegen Majors tied for first.
