EDMOND — Mayor Dan O’Neil is gathering information about increasing the city’s hotel-motel tax to pay for the construction of a conference center.

BY THE NUMBERS

Motel tax revenue

A look at this year’s hotel-motel tax revenue numbers:

$418,000 — Estimated budgeted income for this fiscal year

$139,333 — Revenue collected to date


Income increase

A hotel-motel tax increase would bring an estimated additional income annually:

5 percent — $104,500

6 percent — $209,000

7 percent — $313,500

8 percent — $418,000
