— Planning commissioners will consider Tuesday rezoning property at 2625 W Danforth Road to build a home and renovate a house for a flower shop business.

Their meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at 20 S Littler Ave.

Kris and Tammy Kloxin want to rezone 2.1 acres from D-O suburban office to a planned unit development district. They also are asking to amend Edmond's zoning plan which is necessary for the rezoning to take place.

The house would be on a 25,440 square feet lot and the business on a 66,735 square feet lot.

The Kloxins own Designs by Tammy. They said they needed to relocate their business to a larger facility.

Nearby residents in the Homestead housing addition asked the owners to not put a restaurant on the property, said City Planner Bob Schiermeyer.

The Kloxins said their home would have an English cottage style. The flower shop would be similar to the home with an English garden with tulips, hyacinths and daffodils in the spring and hibiscus, hydrangeas and peonies in the summer.

No outdoor display or storage, which includes greenhouses or nurseries, are permitted with this zoning, Schiermeyer said.
