The high-speed chase ended at 3100 N Grand Blvd. in Oklahoma City. The man's car finally stopped when it was bumped by an Edmond police officer's cruiser.

Speeds reached 100 miles an hour during the 15-minute chase through Edmond and Oklahoma City. The chase began at 2:41 p.m.

Glynda Chu, Edmond Police Department spokeswoman, said, Officer Jim O'Neill tried to stop the vehicle at Memorial Road and Boulevard because the vehicle's signal light was not working.

"The officer thought he was going to stop, but he took off south through Edmond," Chu said.

During the chase, the man threw a bottle out of his fleeing vehicle at 33rd Street and Boulevard; at Britton Road and Eastern a book that looked like a vehicle owner's manual was tossed from the car, Chu said.

Police were trying to identify the man Thursday afternoon. Chu said he had given officers several names.

No one was injured.

"The chase went through some heavy traffic," Chu said. "We are fortunate no one was injured."
