A routine traffic stop turned into a high speed chase before Edmond Police were able to apprehend the driver.

Edmond police spokeswoman Glynda Chu said an officer was making the stop at 4:42 p.m. on Interstate 35 and Memorial Road when the driver sped away.
He was taken into custody at 5:04 p.m. at NE 63 and Midwest Boulevard in Oklahoma City.
Chu said no one was injured in the incident. The Edmond Police officer used his vehicle to force the driver off the road.
