Michael Ford, 24, was killed at 1505 Louis Scott St., police spokeswoman Jennifer Monroe said.

A caller at that address told police he shot an intruder who had a knife about 12:55 p.m. When police arrived, they found one man dead at the scene with at least three bullet wounds, Monroe said.

Ford, who had a key to the house, went inside, found his estranged wife and her friend and began to argue with the man. Ford went to his vehicle, grabbed a large knife and returned. He was shot to death during a confrontation inside the home, Monroe said.

Police have not made any arrests, she said.

Court records list a Michael Ford with the same birth date as the shooting victim as marrying Christina Marie Moulton in April 2006.

The home is in Edmond's Pebble Creek addition, near Danforth Road and Santa Fe.

Neighbor Liz Austin said she heard three shots Sunday. In an otherwise quiet neighborhood, she thought someone might be playing paintball.

Then police wrapped crime tape around the front yard.

Austin said Ford told her this summer that he'd been looking for work.
