EDMOND — The Edmond Public Schools Foundation voted on a new slate of officers and the addition of 17 trustees during its recent annual membership meeting.
Among the new officers is foundation President Bryan Evans, of Evans and Davis Attorneys.
Evans said he is excited about the new additions to the foundation and thinks it will help to get more funding for teacher grants and financial support to classrooms and students.
“The Edmond Public Schools Foundation will continue to have a tremendous impact on the public school system in our community in the 2012-2013 academic year,” Evans said. “We are pleased to welcome new business and community leaders as new trustees.”
Last year the foundation provided more than 70 teacher grants, totaling $90,000, and $10,000 in scholarships to Edmond students.
The foundation also announced the launch of its website, www.edmondfoundation.org.
Besides Evans, other new officers are Brian Blundell of BancFirst, treasurer; and Robyn Miller of Oklahoma Christian University, secretary.
