The city parks and recreation department’s first Life Size Game Day has been rescheduled for September.

The event, featuring a game called “Edmondopoly,” originally was scheduled for last Saturday but was postponed due to a lack of sponsorship.

Now, families will have the chance to replicate the classic game of Monopoly in life size for free at 5 p.m. Sept. 27 at Chitwood Park, one block east of Kelly Avenue between First and Main streets. The park is also known as Rocket Ship Park.

Local businesses can sponsor the event by purchasing squares of the park that will serve as landing spots in the game, Parks and Recreation Director Craig Dishman said.

For more information about Life Size Game Day or to sponsor the event, go to www.edmondok.com or call 359-4630.
