EDMOND — School board members voted Tuesday to set March 25 as the date for accepting bids on bonds that would finance new elementary and middle schools as well as maintenance and remodeling at other campuses.
Voters approved the $80 million bond issue Feb. 12, and the bonds will be sold in two separate series, the first of which is about $26 million, according to school board minutes.
The board will accept sealed bids, facsimile bids and electronic bids until 2 p.m. March 25 at the Edmond Public Schools Administrative Center, 1001 W Danforth.
The board is scheduled to award a bid at 7:30 a.m. March 26.
In other business, the board swore in Jamie Underwood, who ran unopposed in the Feb. 12 election. Underwood said she will represent District 3 for the next five years and will continue to serve as board president.
