EDMOND — David Fraser, Edmond Public Schools chief financial officer since 2004, died Sunday after developing breathing problems while recovering from a Dec. 7 knee surgery.
“Words are inadequate to express our grief at the loss of David Fraser,” Superintendent David Goin said. “Simply put, we loved, admired and appreciated David as a friend and colleague.
“Mr. Fraser's integrity, delightful personality, genuine concern for people, and his leadership and relationship abilities were a source of inspiration to all.”
Fraser, 57, was a 22-year member of the Edmond Public Schools administrative team.
“He was a consummate professional who set high expectations of himself and very naturally passed along that sense of purpose and direction to all with whom he worked,” Goin said.
Fraser was hired in 1990 as director of administrative services. In 2001, he was promoted to director of technology.
